New Employees

Welcome to Natus!  As a new employee, your initial enrollment period is 31 days from your date of hire to enroll in Natus benefits. Complete this checklist, read the Benefit Guide, and use online tools and resources on the Benefits Website to help you make decisions.

Consider the voluntary benefits programs that you can purchase with discounted and group rates. Do you need additional protection for you and your family?

Consider the additional life and AD&D coverage. Do you have the right coverage to help pay bills if you become disabled or want to leave your family with death benefits?

Take advantage of the spending accounts. Health Savings and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts allow you to set aside pre-tax money to help pay for eligible health care or day care expenses, respectively. If you participate in an HSA, Natus will also make an annual contribution to this account. Learn more

Access PlanSource to enroll for benefits within 31 days from your date of hire.

Add your dependents’ information in PlanSource. You will be required to upload a marriage certificate or affidavit of domestic partnership, and birth certificates or guardianship for any dependents you choose to enroll. Make sure your dependent's information is accurate and complete.

Enroll in or review your 401(k) account and review other benefits.

Within 31 days of your date of hire... 

Within 31 days of your date of hire, you must log into PlanSource to:

  • Determine which benefits you may want to elect for you and your eligible dependents. Coverage will be effective on your date of hire. 

  • Waive medical coverage.

    • If you choose to waive medical coverage, you will be asked to provide proof of other medical insurance coverage - for example, through your spouse’s employer’s plan or other employer-sponsored health plan. You will need to upload the document in PlanSource when you make your election.

If you do not enroll... 

If you do not enroll within 31 days of starting as a new hire, you will not be able to enroll for:

  • Health care coverage (medical, dental/vision) or

  • Optional coverage (Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, ID Theft Protection, Legal and Voluntary Short-Term Disability)

You will be required to wait until the next Open Enrollment period, unless you experience a qualified status change.

 

The remainder of the automatically enrolled options will be paid in full by the Company – Mental Health through Spring Health, Basic Life Insurance, AD&D Insurance, Disability and Employee Assistance Program.

Action Required

  • Log in: Log into PlanSource within 31 days of your date of hire.

  • Locate your username: Your username will be the first initial of your first name, followed by first six letters of your last name (or less for last names with fewer than six letters) and the last four digits of your social security number. 

  • Use your unique password: Your password is your birthdate in the format YYYYMMDD.

Remember: â€‹

  • You must review and finalize your elections in PlanSource.

  • If you want to utilize the mental health resources through Spring Health, make sure your dependent information is up to date in PlanSource, even if you do not cover your dependents under the Natus medical plans.
